The course is set on approximately 140 acres of gently undulating land adjoining the Carbrook Wetlands - an environmental area of national significance.

Indeed the first nine holes have been constructed to reflect this theme, propagating native flora and attracting a wide variety of bird life.

Tree lined, fairways and winding waterways demand accurate shot making to large elevated greens.

As a contrast the back nine features huge blue water lakes - a legacy of previous sand mining activity. The central lake, all 98 acres, is also famous for sharks, which have made their home there. Washed in during some previous flood from the adjoining Logan River they add a new dimension to the term "water hazard".

The holes adjoining the lake and river are both a challenge and delight to play. Following a links theme they take advantage of the natural elements in spectacular fashion.

As a par 71, over 6000 metres in length, the Australian course rating of 72 recognises that this course will demand all of your attention!
